Under which conditions do the patterns of scientific change emerge and hold?
The existence of the patterns of scientific change seem to presuppose certain social, political, cultural, and economic conditions, "such as relative stability, supportive educational system, certain degree of autonomy from regime etc."1 What are the necessary preconditions that make the patterns of scientific change possible?
