This is the template for disciplines. This template is to be used for all scientonomic disciplines (e.g. scientonomy, theoretical scientonomy, observational scientonomy etc.). It is similar to the template for Definitional Topic, since disciplines too can have subdiscilpines and superdisciplines.

Note that, at the moment disciplines are registered as second order topics of the type Discipline. The motivation for this is the following:

  • The delineating theory is a second order theory as it indicates first order questions as part of the discipline.
  • This theory answers a second order question which is itself the discipline.
  • The delineating theory is a complex theory consisting of individual claims of the form 'Question Q is part of discipline D'. Together these claims constitute the delineating theory of the discipline.

It should be called in the following format:
