This is the template for disciplines. This template is to be used for all scientonomic disciplines (e.g. scientonomy, theoretical scientonomy, observational scientonomy etc.). It is similar to the template for Definitional Topic, since disciplines too can have subdiscilpines and superdisciplines.

Note that, at the moment disciplines are registered as second order definitional topics. The motivation for this is the following:

  • The discipline page should link the term itself to its definition, which is essentially the discipline's delineating theory.
  • The delineating theory is a second order theory as it indicates first order questions as part of the discipline.
  • The delineating theory is a complex theory consisting of individual claims of the form 'Question Q is part of discipline D'.
  • Together these claims define the discipline.

It should be called in the following format:
