Implicit in our approach is the understanding that all empirical knowledge is changeable, and so is our knowledge on scientific change. This encyclopedia openly facilitates this idea through its mechanism of modifications.

Each suggested modification is an attempt to improve our scientonomic knowledge. When an author published an article in the Journal of Scientonomy (or any other journal that makes use of the scientonomic model of modifications), the modifications to our knowledge suggested in this article are properly documented and individual encyclopedia pages are created for each suggested modification. Each of these modifications is then evaluated separately by the community and, if it meets the expectations of the community, it becomes accepted and the respective encyclopedia articles are altered to reflect that modification.
