David Owen is a professor of philosophy at the University of Arizona. He received his B. Phil. and D. Phil. from Oxford University and has taught in Scotland, England, and Canada. He is the author of Hume’s Reason (1999) and editor of Hume: General Philosophy(2000), and he has published many articles in the history of early modern philosophy, especially on Locke and Hume..
