|Question=Can there be delegation of authority to ''individuals''?

|Description=In many scientific communities, certain individuals appear to hold an esteemed role in dictating the appraisal of theories in that community. In certain cases, this might appear to constitute a case of the community [[Authority Delegation|delegating authority]] to this individual. Consider for instance, the case of the art market delegating to Maya Widmaier-Picasso and Claude Ruiz-Picasso the authority over the authenticity of the works of Picasso.[[CiteRef::Loiselle (2017)|p. 44]] Is this a true case of authority delegation? If so, this might imply that individuals can be said to form a bear their own distinct scientific community with just themselves in itmosaics.
