Abstract
Golinski argues for a social constructivist view of scientific knowledge. Thomas Kuhn's landmark The Structure of Scientific Revolutions made science more approachable to sociological methods and naturalistic explanation. The social institutions responsible for the production of scientific knowledge, such as the professionalization of science, the research laboratory, and the scientific use of language and persuasion.
